Latest Update: Chrysler 300S is set to arrive in 2023, producing 1,450 V8 units and 850 V6 cars.
Chrysler plans to launch a more affordable version of the 2023 300C sedan, called the 300S. This model will be powered by a 5.7-liter V8 engine paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and will feature rear-wheel drive. The 300S will also come equipped with a variety of luxurious features such as heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and advanced driving assist systems. However, similar to the 300C, production of the 300S will be limited to only 1,450 units in 2023, making it even more exclusive than the 300C.
It’s important to note that Chrysler will also offer a version of the 300S with a 3.6-liter V6 Pentastar engine, which will produce 300 horsepower and 264 lb-ft of torque. While this version will be more affordable, it will be significantly slower than the V8-powered 300S and 300C models. The V6-powered 300S will have a 0-60 mph acceleration time of 7.1 seconds, compared to 5.3 seconds for the V8-powered 300S, and 4.3 seconds for the 300C.
According to available information, the V8-powered 300S will have a starting price of $50,975 including destination fees, while the V6-powered 300S will be cheaper at $43,750 before options. To compare, the sold-out 300C had a starting price of $56,595 including destination, making it the most expensive version of the 2023 Chrysler 300. It’s worth noting that the production of the V6-powered 300S will reportedly be limited to 850 units.
At the moment, it seems that the reservation books for the 2023 300S in both V6 and V8 versions are not open yet, which means that there is still a chance to buy a new Chrysler 300.
