AlfaRomeo Milano EV 2024 Price In USA , Features And Specs
$37,000.00
Latest Update: 2024 Alfa Romeo Milano EV is coming in April 2024, with an expected price around $37,000.
Alfa Romeo finds itself at a crossroads, navigating through a transformative phase. The aging Giulia and Stelvio models are slowly fading into the background, struggling to surpass the 5000 sales mark for the year 2023. In contrast, the Tonale has emerged as the pioneer of Alfa Romeo’s electric journey, marking the brand’s inaugural venture into plug-in hybrid technology. This strategic move positions Alfa Romeo on the trajectory towards an all-electric lineup, with plans to launch exclusively electric vehicles from 2025 and sell only electric cars by 2027. The latest revelation from the company is the introduction of its maiden electric vehicle, a subcompact SUV named Milano, set to make its debut next year.
In a homage to the city that birthed Alfa Romeo in 1910, the Milano is slated for a grand unveiling in Milan, Italy, come April 2024, with deliveries commencing in September of the same year. The initial iteration of the Milano will be powered solely by electrons, embracing a fully electric design. However, a gas-powered variant, presumably featuring a 48-volt hybrid system, is anticipated to hit the streets by November. This marks a significant milestone, as the Milano is poised to be the final addition to Alfa Romeo’s lineup with an internal combustion engine.
With a primary focus on the European market, the Milano aims to capture the hearts of consumers on the continent. While reports from Automotive News Europe suggest that a decision on bringing the compact SUV to the United States is still pending, Alfa Romeo’s CEO, Jean-Philippe Imparato, remains optimistic. He asserts that the Milano is ready for a global market if the demand arises, anticipating particular interest in certain regions for “urban small electric SUVs.” Notably, the Milano is expected to be even more compact than its predecessor, the Tonale.
Manufactured in Tychy, Poland, alongside the likes of the Jeep Avenger and Fiat 600e by parent company Stellantis, the Milano is likely to share powertrains with its electric and gas-fed counterparts. The electric variants boast a 54.0-kWh battery, delivering a range of 250 miles based on Europe’s optimistic WLTP test cycle. As Alfa Romeo ventures further into the realm of electric mobility, the Milano stands as a symbol of the brand’s commitment to a sustainable and electrifying future.
