The Aston Martin DBS 770 Ultimate marks the end of the current generation DBS, and it is the most powerful version of the model. Its future is uncertain, but for now, it exits as the pinnacle of DBS production.

Yes, the “770” in the DBS 770 Ultimate refers to the car’s horsepower rating of 770 metric horsepower (759 horsepower in US measurements) from its twin-turbocharged 5.2-liter V12 engine. This makes it the most powerful DBS model to date, and the only way to get more horsepower from Aston Martin is through the use of electrification.

To achieve the high horsepower rating, engineers increased the boost pressure by 7% and made adjustments to the engine’s intake and ignition system. They also fine-tuned other engine parameters which contributed to the final power output of 770 metric horsepower (759 horsepower in US measurements). This is enough power to reach a top speed of 211 mph. Additionally, a special calibration for the 8-speed automatic transmission was made to handle the increased power.

The increased power of the DBS 770 Ultimate also required upgrades to the brakes to handle the extra performance. However, the standard ceramic brakes in the DBS were already up to the task, with 16.1-inch discs in the front and 14.1-inch discs in the rear. The steering has been upgraded with a new solid-mount steering column to improve precision and driver feedback. The interior of the DBS 770 Ultimate is equipped with standard Sports Plus seats which are covered in quilted leather and Alcantara. The car also has a special contrast trim that is exclusive to the 770 Ultimate. The car is also identified by special badging, as it is limited to production of 499 vehicles worldwide with 300 coupes and 199 Volantes. Aston Martin has not shared pricing information but all of the vehicles have been sold already. Production is set to begin in the first quarter of this year with deliveries starting in the summer.
