The BYD e2 is making a comeback, and it’s better than ever. Originally designed as a taxi vehicle in China in 2019, the e2 exceeded expectations and sold over 72,000 units in just two years. Now, it’s back with a completely new design and even more to offer.

As part of the Ocean family on the e-platform 3.0, the all-new BYD e2 is longer than its predecessor, measuring 4.26 meters in length. Although it’s slightly smaller than the Mercedes EQA, it’s almost the same size as the Smart #1. The interior has also been updated and is more in line with other BYD vehicles, featuring a shared steering wheel with the BYD Seal and BYD Dolphin.

One of the most exciting features of the new e2 is its 12.8-inch screen, which can rotate from a horizontal to a vertical position for added convenience. It also supports both NFC and Bluetooth keys, allowing for easy unlocking with a phone.

Under the hood, the e2 is powered by a 43.2 kWh LFP battery pack and a 95-hp electric motor. While it’s not the fastest car out there, it’s perfectly capable of transporting a small family around town. Plus, with a range of 405 km, it’s ideal for weekend getaways.
