Latest Update: Fisker Ocean Force E launched in May 2023, with a price tag of $39,000.

Fisker has just dropped a bombshell on the electric car industry by unveiling a special version of their Ocean SUV called the Force E. But don’t get confused with Nissan’s Ariya e-4ORCE. The Force E takes the electric crossover to another level, turning it into an off-road monster with 33-inch all-terrain tires, 20-inch reinforced wheels, massive ground clearance, and an incredible 550 horsepower.

Although the hardware specifications of the new suspension system are still under wraps, we do know that the vehicle will come with specialized dampers and a substantial lift. Moreover, a full-length titanium underbody plate will protect the battery pack, while structurally mounted front and rear skid plates will add extra protection.Fisker’s Chairman and CEO, Henrik Fisker, said, “This vehicle is going to be a beast. We have pulled out all the stops on this one. I think it’s exciting to enter the segment. And for those who love to go offroad and enjoy nature, what better way than with zero emissions?”

The Force E package comes with further customizability, with an optional lightweight roof basket, while the interior package will equip the Force E with rubber floor coverings, extra grab handles, and tie-downs to secure your stuff when you’re crawling over rocks.

But that’s not all. If you’re already an owner of an Ocean or are expecting one soon, you can retrofit the Force E package to any all-wheel-drive Fisker Ocean Extreme or Fisker Ocean Ultra model. This means you don’t have to cancel an order on an existing car to get the Force E at a later date. And that’s great news, as the first Oceans have already been delivered earlier this month.

The Force E is still under development at Fisker’s Magic Works division in the UK, with SVP of Engineering David King overseeing its development. King is well suited for the project, given his history of rally racing in the 1980s and 1990s.
