Geely Group has boldly entered the arena with its latest creation, the Zeekr 007, a premium sedan that not only flaunts a stylish exterior but also delivers an impressive range. Unveiled by the Chinese governmental regulator MIIT, the powertrain details of this sleek machine promise a driving experience that stands out in the crowd.

The Zeekr brand, falling under Geely Group’s New Energy Vehicle (NEV) umbrella, made its debut in 2021 and has been steadily expanding its footprint across China, Central Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. With the recent introduction of its inaugural model, the Zeekr 001, in the Netherlands, the 007 is poised to make its mark as the third vehicle in the lineup, joining the ranks alongside the 001, 009, and X models.

As per information from the Chinese regulator, the Zeekr 007 will be offered in both rear-wheel-drive (RWD) and all-wheel-drive (AWD) versions, boasting power outputs of 310 kW (415 hp) and 475 kW (636 hp), respectively.

What truly distinguishes the Zeekr 007 is its cutting-edge battery technology. The sedan will feature two battery options: a 75.6-kWh LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery and a formidable 100-kWh ternary NMC (Nickel Manganese Cobalt) pack.

The range offered by these batteries is undeniably impressive, ranging from 428 miles to an astonishing 541 miles, depending on the chosen powertrain configuration. While a bit of skepticism is advised, given the optimistic reputation of the CLTC testing regime, there’s no denying that the Zeekr 007’s range is indeed a noteworthy feat.

It’s interesting to note that the Chinese regulator initially revealed a version of the Zeekr 007 with AWD and a 75.6-kWh LFP battery back in November, but this particular configuration did not make it to the final lineup.

The Zeekr 007, a mid-size sedan comparable in size to the XPeng P7, boasts dimensions of 191.5 inches in length, 74.8 inches in width, and 57.1 inches in height, with a wheelbase measuring 115.3 inches. Crafted by Stefan Sielaff and the Zeekr Design Center team in Gothenburg, Sweden, the design language exudes a modern and sleek aesthetic. Inside the cabin, the Zeekr 007 features a 15.05-inch screen powered by Kr GPT AI and a Snapdragon 8295 chip from Qualcomm, promising a technologically advanced and captivating driving experience.
