Lamborghini has previewed its new V12 hybrid flagship in a series of sketches prior to its official launch in 2023. The vehicle boasts a bold, angular front design similar to the Lamborghini Sian, with unique LED headlights and large air intake ducts. The side profile includes prominent air intakes and the brand’s signature scissor doors. The rear of the vehicle continues the angular theme, featuring hexagonal exhausts and narrow Y-shaped taillights.

Additionally, the sketches also showcase a birdseye view of the mid-mounted V12 engine, which is a fundamental feature of a flagship Lamborghini model.

The sketches also indicate the presence of a “Rear aero system fault” message on the cluster, suggesting that the model may feature a pop-up rear spoiler. The outputs for the new powertrain have not been disclosed yet, but it is expected that Lamborghini will not deviate from the performance of their current Aventador model. The V12 powertrain in the Aventador LP780-4 Ultimae produces 574kW and 720Nm. With all-wheel drive and an automated manual transmission, the Ultimae can accelerate from 0-100km/h in 2.8 seconds, reach 200km/h in 8.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 355km/h.

The high demand for the yet-to-be-named Aventador successor is evident, as Lamborghini has already received over 3000 orders and an 18-month waiting list for the vehicle. This demonstrates that the market for ultra-luxury vehicles is still strong. When the Aventador was first introduced in 2011, it was the first series production car to incorporate a carbon-fiber monocoque chassis, setting a new standard in the industry.
