Maserati Grecale Folgore 2023 Price In USA , Features And Specs

$80,000.00

The new Grecale crossover will be a key part of Maserati’s expanding EV lineup. All Maserati EVs will wear the Folgore name (that means “lightning” in Italian), and Maserati has now revealed the 2023 Grecale Folgore alongside the standard model. The gas-powered 2023 Grecale GT, Modena, and Trofeo models are scheduled to arrive this summer, while the Folgore won’t reach the U.S. until fall 2022. While we wait, Maserati has provided a few juicy specs for the EV. It will have a 105.0-kWh battery pack and its electric motors—we assume there will be at least two—will produce 590 pound-feet of torque. Maserati has not yet confirmed whether this battery information represents net capacity or usable capacity, but either way, the Grecale Folgore’s pack is shaping up to be on the bigger end of its segment. The Audi Q4 e-Tron’s battery, for instance, offers 77.0-kWh of usable energy. The torque figure, meanwhile, tops the Grecale Trofeo’s twin-turbo 3.0-liter V-6, which has 457 pound-feet. Visually the Folgore appears to have the same body as the gas model, but a few key details identify it as the electric model. The concave grille appears to be different and is partially closed off, and there are also interesting-looking wheels and Folgore badges on the fenders. The pictured vehicle is finished in a copper color called Rame Folgore that’s exclusive to the electric Grecale. Maserati also says it will use recycled fabrics for Folgore’s interior, including a recycled nylon material called Econyl.

Rather than riding on one of Stellantis’ new electric platforms, the Grecale Folgore uses a modified version of the Giorgio platform that underpins the standard Grecale and other gas models such as the Alfa Romeo Stelvio. We’re not sure what that will mean for the packaging of the electric motors and battery pack, but Maserati confirmed that the Folgore will offer all-wheel drive as standard. Maserati is energizing its lineup with the 2024 Grecale Folgore, an electric version of its new Grecale SUV. Given that “Folgore” means “lightning” in Italian, we’re expecting this EV crossover to, um, bolt from rest. It promises to have the power to do just that. The Grecale Folgore will join the GranTurismo Folgore sports car as the Italian automaker realizes its goal of electrifying its car and SUV offerings. The Grecale Folgore’s attractive exterior styling mimics that of the gasoline-powered version with a few key differences, including a unique grille treatment and stylish Folgore-specific wheel designs. Details are sparse on Folgore’s propulsion system but Maserati is promising a big 105.0-kWh battery pack—though we don’t know if that refers to total or usable capacity—which should provide an excellent driving range. Going on sale about a year after the gasoline-powered Grecale models, the Folgore will be one of the first electric models offered by Maserati. Pricing is expected to start around $75,000 for a base GT model and come close to the six-figure mark for a fully loaded, performance-oriented Trofeo. When we find out more about Grecale Folgore’s pricing and options, we’ll update this story with those details. Maserati hasn’t said how many electric motors the Grecale Folgore will offer, but it has said the all-wheel drive will be standard, which leads us to believe there will be at least two motors, one each driving the front and rear wheels. Horsepower hasn’t been disclosed but the company has said the Grecale Folgore’s powertrain will generate up to 590 pound-feet of torque. Regardless, the electric powertrain is expected to provide strong acceleration, which will help it go head-to-head with the BMW iX and the Tesla Model X. The Grecale Folgore’s battery boasts a large 105.0-kWh capacity, but Maserati hasn’t released any driving range estimations. Given the capacity, we’d guess the Grecale Folgore could offer around 300 miles per charge.

The cabin essentially carries over from the gasoline-powered Grecale but features recycled materials for the upholstery. We’re not sure how the battery will be packaged yet, or how that may impact cargo capacity, but we’re hoping for the same interior space as the regular model. Maserati provides a competitive limited and powertrain warranty, compared with other luxury brands that compete in this space. However, unlike BMW and Jaguar, the company doesn’t provide complimentary scheduled maintenance. Arriving in 2023 in Europe and North America, the Grecale Folgore features a 105 kWh battery pack and up to 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque. Maserati is previewing its first-ever production EV today, the Grecale Folgore midsize luxury SUV that will debut next year. Shown alongside the ICE-powered Maserati Grecale, the all-electric variant adopts the same design and spices it up with unique EV-flavored details including the partially closed-off grille, aero-style wheels, and copper accents, and unique Rame Folgore exterior color, among other things. Speaking of the painting, Maserati took inspiration from contemporary architecture, especially the facade of the Guggenheim museum in Bilbao, Spain.

As with the regular Maserati Grecale, the Folgore battery-electric variant is based on an evolution of Stellantis’s Giorgio platform that’s also used by the Alfa Romeo Stelvio and Giulia. The Grecale Folgore will feature a 105 kWh battery pack and up to 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque, although Maserati does not reveal how many electric motors. Given the high-end segment the Grecale Folgore will play in, a dual-motor AWD setup is very likely. We also learn that the electric SUV features a 400-volt electrical architecture, but Maserati does not say how long it will take for the battery pack to charge.

This is available in a mild hybrid 2.0L inline-four cylinder engine. That produces either 300hp or 330hp, depending on the variant. And also with a 3.0L V6 engine that produces 530 hp available from. The company announced that there will be an all-electric vehicle from this by the end of 2022 and will go on sale as model 2023. The new 2024 Maserati Grecale Folgore is the first all-electric vehicle the company ever made. The company also announced that every model will have an electric variant by 2025. This vehicle will have the same 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen. And a separate 8.8-inch display similar to its gasoline vehicles. The vehicle will have an interior layout with minor changes. The upholstery will be made of recycled materials. The all-electric Folgore will be provided with a 105 kWh battery and produces a 590 pound-feet of torque. All-wheel drive will be standard for this vehicle and have two motors. One to the front wheels and another to the rear wheels. And the estimated range of this vehicle is about 300miles.
