Maserati MCXtrema 2024 Price In USA , Features And Specs

Last year, Maserati dropped a bombshell by announcing its return to MCXtrema racing with the MC20. Although the Italian automaker teased us with two images of the car, it has finally revealed more information about the highly-anticipated racer, giving us a better glimpse of its exterior and interior. If you’re itching to see it in person, the MC20 GT2 will make its official debut at the 24 Hours of Spa in Belgium in June.

Recently, the MCXtrema hit the track for the first time during the shakedown process at the Autodromo Varano de’ Melegari. Maserati is promising a series of events leading up to the car’s big reveal, so we’re excited to see what else they have in store.

The Nettuno V6 engine found in the road-going version of the MCXtrema will power the GT2 as well. The twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine boasts twin-combustion technology similar to Formula 1 engines. Although Maserati hasn’t released any specific figures regarding the GT2’s performance, they have promised to elevate it to a whole new level. For reference, the road version of the MCXtrema can produce 730 horsepower, with a top speed of 201 mph and a 0-62 mph time of 2.9 seconds.

In addition to the Nettuno V6 engine, the MCXtrema features a six-speed sequential racing gearbox, a racing steering wheel with paddle shifters, and an adjustable rear wing. Maserati has also equipped the GT2 with racing suspension components, including adjustable shock absorbers and front and rear anti-roll bars. Furthermore, the car features quick-release removable bodywork, which will make pit stops a breeze for the team.

The exterior of the MCXtrema sports the Blu Infinito livery, which gives the coupe a distinctive racing appearance. Inside, the carbon-fiber dashboard houses a 10-inch driver’s display, providing the driver with all the necessary information they need to make split-second decisions on the track.
