Say hello to the 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe, as it sheds its remaining camouflage and steps out into the limelight. This latest version is marginally larger than its predecessor, boasting some evolutionary exterior styling changes that mask a completely redesigned interior with a huge portrait-oriented center touchscreen and an array of standard features.

Although much of the new GLC Coupe was revealed last year with the standard GLC-Class debut, it still has a few tricks up its sleeve. Its exterior boasts an updated lower fascia with narrower headlights at the front, slimmer taillights with a reworked rear fascia at the back, while the interior gets a significant overhaul thanks to a 12.3-inch driver display mounted in a floating-landscape style and an 11.9-inch portrait-oriented center touchscreen.

The GLC Coupe is powered by the same turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine used in the standard GLC, which incorporates a 48-volt mild-hybrid system, delivering 255 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. However, there are some notable differences, such as the fact that the only GLC Coupe currently available from Mercedes is the 300 4Matic with an AMG Line package. This means that all models come with the AMG star grille, 19-inch wheels, and optional 20-inchers, among other features.

In addition, the GLC Coupe boasts a drag coefficient of 0.27, and the interior includes standard AMG Line features like a leather-lined dash with various wood veneers for trim. Other standard features include a panoramic sunroof, heated seats all around, Burmeister 3D surround sound, wireless phone charging, and the latest MBUX system.

When it comes to space, there are some differences between the GLC Coupe and its standard GLC counterpart, with 19.2 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats, a little less than the standard GLC, but slightly more than last year’s GLC Coupe. Fold down the second row and you’ll find 52.6 cubic feet of total space – an improvement from the previous model.

The new GLC Coupe is 1.2 inches longer than its predecessor and just a little bit wider, although it is only a fraction taller. Advanced driver-assist systems are also plentiful, with a Surround View 360-degree camera for close-quarters maneuvering and a transparent hood that shows the terrain directly in front of the vehicle. Combined with a standard off-road mode that includes hill-descent control, this latest version of the GLC Coupe is ideal for those who want to navigate the great outdoors in style.
