Peugeot has kept this vehicle under wraps, with heavy camouflage covering the majority of its exterior. The only indication that it is a Peugeot is the brand’s iconic lion logo, which can be seen on the center cap of the rear wheel. Although the headlights and a small portion of the grille are visible, the rest of the vehicle’s design elements are obscured by camouflage panels. The overall shape of the vehicle suggests it is a crossover, however, the specific styling details are yet to be revealed.

Peugeot has announced ambitious plans to launch a fleet of electric vehicles under the E-Lion Project. Within the next two years, the French automaker intends to roll out five fully electric models, including the E-308, E-308 SW, E-408, E-3008, and E-5008. These models will feature a powerful 156 horsepower electric motor and are expected to have a driving range of more than 248 miles on a single charge.

In addition to the all-electric lineup, Peugeot also plans to introduce a new hybrid system that utilizes a 48-volt battery for other vehicles in its lineup. The E-3008, set to debut in the second half of 2023, will be the first electric crossover from the brand. This model will be available with a choice of three powertrains, including a dual-motor setup, and is expected to have a range of up to 434 miles on a single charge. The E-3008 will be based on the Stellantis STLA Medium platform.

Peugeot has announced the integration of a new 48-volt hybrid system for selected models, including the 208, 2008, 308, 3008, 5008, and 408. The hybrid technology will work in conjunction with the brand’s PureTech gasoline engine, featuring an electric motor producing 28 horsepower (21 kW) and integrating into the six-speed dual-clutch gearbox. This system is set to debut in 2023 and by 2030, Peugeot aims for all of its European models to be fully electric.
