Peugeot  is revving up its electric vehicle offerings, gearing to nearly double its current lineup with the introduction of the 2025 Peugeot E-308 small hatch and Peugeot E-Expert mid-size van by year-end.

The anticipation is palpable as expressions of interest have sprung to life on the Peugeot website, paving the road for the first showroom appearances slated for the latter half of 2024. These newcomers will join the already electrifying e-Partner small van and e-2008 small SUV currently available for sale, with the eagerly awaited E-208 city hatch on the horizon.

Across the autobahns of Germany, the E-308 sits shoulder to shoulder, if not slightly ahead, of its petrol-powered counterpart, the top-of-the-line 308 plug-in hybrid. Down under, the latter commands a starting price of $64,990 plus on-road costs, setting the stage for a competitive showdown.

Meanwhile, the E-Expert is poised to stake its claim in the market, likely demanding a premium over its diesel counterparts—the Pro Short and Pro Long—whose prices start at $47,990 and $50,490 plus on-roads respectively.

Expectations are riding high for the E-Expert’s debut, showcasing a fresh facelift that echoes the latest enhancements unveiled in Europe. A redesigned front fascia, coupled with an overhauled dashboard boasting a new steering wheel, a spacious 10-inch touchscreen, and an expansive widescreen digital instrument display, promises a futuristic driving experience.

While the n arrival of the updated diesel Expert, as well as its smaller Partner and larger Boxer siblings, remains uncertain, Peugeot’s claim of driving ranges up to 350km for the E-Expert and 414km for the E-308 is enough to electrify enthusiasts.

The E-308, exclusively available as a hatchback (although a wagon variant is offered overseas), hints at a thrilling journey ahead, with more details set to unfold closer to its highly anticipated arrival in the latter part of the year.
