According to images shared on Chinese social media (via Autospy), the Polestar 4 has a unique design that blends elements of a hatchback and a liftback sedan, rather than the traditional SUV body type. With a sleek roofline and passenger car-like ground clearance, the vehicle’s shape aligns with preview images released by the company last year.

With the Polestar 4’s expected arrival in Australian showrooms next year, the electric car market is eagerly waiting to see what this innovative and stylish vehicle has to offer.

Peeking through the camouflage, the two-piece headlights of the Polestar 4 electric car resemble those of the Polestar Precept concept vehicle. Meanwhile, the angular front bumper design is also reminiscent of the concept car.

Slated for unveiling this year, this highly-anticipated electric car will be positioned below the Polestar 3 SUV in the company’s lineup, pitting it against rival vehicles such as the Tesla Model Y, Kia EV6, Genesis GV60, and the upcoming Audi Q6 E-Tron.

According to reports from China, the Polestar 4 will be powered by a derivative of the SEA electric car platform from parent company Geely, which is also used for upcoming Volvos. The vehicle is expected to offer dual electric motors and a claimed driving range of 600 km, making it a formidable force in the electric car market.

The upcoming Polestar 4 electric car is expected to sit between the Polestar 2 (4606mm) and Polestar 3 (4900mm) in size, with dimensions that are closer to the Tesla Model Y (4751mm).
