Latest Update: Porsche Taycan Art Car debuts in April 2023, with a price tag of $200,000.

Since the Porsche Taycan’s inception in 2019, the automaker has produced several stunning art cars, and its latest masterpiece was unveiled at the Photofairs Shanghai 2023 exhibition, a celebration of photography and digital artwork. The Dream in Color exhibit showcased Porsche’s history and unrelenting ethos across four sections: Origin, Inspiration, Passion, and Vision. Porsche partnered with artists like Chris Labrooy and Yang Yongliang to create some of the displays, marking the fifth time Porsche China has collaborated with the platform.

The Origin segment presented unforgettable moments from Porsche’s birth to the present day, complete with rare archival footage. The Inspiration segment featured original artwork by the Chinese visual artist Yongliang, while Labrooy’s artwork resided in the Vision section, with his avant-garde perspective blurring the lines between reality and fantasy.

Michael Kirsch, Porsche China’s CEO and President, said, “As we are celebrating Porsche’s 75th anniversary this year, we curated a themed exhibition to look back at this unforgettable journey of dreams, and we hope to evoke the passion of dreams within each and every dreamer, inspiring them to relentlessly explore their dreams.”

The exhibition’s highlight was the multi-colored, limited-edition Taycan Turbo S on display. With a dual-motor setup and all-wheel drive, this model boasts 750 horsepower, and with launch control, it can reach 60 miles per hour in only 2.6 seconds, making it a supercar-like four-door model. For those not interested in a 750-hp sedan, the company offers less powerful and less expensive models.

Porsche initially debuted the Taycan electric vehicle at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show. Since then, the EV landscape has evolved, with many new competitors entering the space.
