Unlike the previous sighting in October, the updated C-segment SUV isn’t entirely concealed in camouflage, revealing only covered front and rear ends. Anticipated to align with the modifications seen in the Geely Boyue facelift, the changes encompass sleeker headlamps, a broader lower intake, and a more finely contoured bonnet.

A notable alteration is observed in the grille, where chrome pins are now evident, aligning the X70 with its larger sibling, the D-segment X90. This departure from the Infinite Weave design, present since the X70’s launch in 2018 and retained in the first minor change (MC) last year, marks a distinctive shift in the model’s aesthetic.

While the exposed taillights suggest no discernible changes, confirming the X70 MC2’s association with the Boyue facelift rather than the Boyue Pro, interior shots are yet to surface. However, expectations are that interior changes will closely mirror those introduced in the Boyue facelift, presenting relatively minor adjustments.

Under the hood, the X70 MC received a 1.5-liter turbocharged inline-three petrol engine in its previous iteration, generating 177 PS and 255 Nm of torque. This power is channeled through a seven-speed wet dual-clutch transmission to the front wheels, with an all-wheel-drive option available for the 1.5 TGDI Executive AWD variant.

Retaining the previous 1.8-liter turbo-four unit with 184 PS and 300 Nm, albeit exclusively for the 1.8 TGDI Premium 2WD variant, the powertrain lineup is anticipated to persist in the upcoming X70 MC2.
