While the highly anticipated Ram 1500 REV is on the horizon, Ram is taking a bold step into the commercial EV segment with its inaugural electric offering – the ProMaster, a sleek and efficient electric van.

Ram’s CEO, Tim Kuniskis, isn’t holding back in his praise for the ProMaster EV, labeling it a “game-changer.” While such proclamations are commonplace in the EV arena, Ram is entering a transformative period in the automotive industry, coinciding with the surge in EV sales that saw a record-breaking 1.2 million units sold in the US last year.

The ProMaster EV is a key player in Stellantis’ Dare Forward 2030 strategy, striving for 100% EV sales in the European Union and 50% in the US by the decade’s end. As part of the diverse Stellantis family, which includes Jeep, Chrysler, Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Dodge, and Maserati, Ram aims to maintain its reputation for delivering exceptional value and the lowest total cost of ownership, a legacy expected to continue with the ProMaster EV.

The ProMaster EV comes in two iterations: a currently available delivery model and a cargo variant set to debut later, offering two sizes – a 143.7 inches cargo length and an extended 155.91 inches variant.

The innovative placement of the battery pack under the floor at the rear ensures a flat cargo space for efficient loading and unloading. Fleet management needs have been meticulously addressed with features like a rear roll-up door for effortless cargo handling and a standard pocket door for convenient access. The inclusion of Ram Telematics offers valuable insights for enhanced efficiency, real-time vehicle diagnostics, and location data.

For customization, Ram offers various options, including a delivery model with a “super-high-roof” and a 159-inch wheelbase, featuring creature comforts like a heated steering wheel and windshield. Eventually, it will come in five configurations, offering two roof heights, two cargo lengths, and two body styles with cargo lengths of up to 155.91 inches.

Inside, the ProMaster EV provides a cavernous 524.1 ft³ of cargo space, with a tech-savvy interior featuring a 10.1-inch touchscreen supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Safety features include front and rear Park Sense with a full stop, LED headlights, fog lights, a high-resolution backup camera, and an optional 360-degree camera system.
