Latest Update: Suzuki eVX concept has been revealed, but the delivers will start in 2025.

Suzuki showcased its eVX concept at the 2023 Auto Expo in New Delhi, along with a brief and uninformative press release on the company’s website. The eVX is a compact crossover that is expected to be released as a production car in 2025.

Suzuki is one of the few legacy car manufacturers that have not yet released a fully electric car, and it seems that fans of the brand will have to wait a few more years for the launch of one.

Suzuki has not released many technical specifications for the eVX, except that it has all-wheel drive, is larger than the Vitara, and comes with a battery capacity close to 60 kWh and a range of around 550 km. These specifications have been calculated by India’s MIDC, which tends to be more optimistic than other sources.

The eVX concept car from Suzuki has a sharp and aggressive design that suggests it is off-road ready. However, it is still in the early stages of development and some aspects may change before it goes into production. Suzuki is also working with Inmotive, a Canadian company, on a project to develop a two-speed transmission for EVs which would improve efficiency and range. This technology will likely be used in future Suzuki electric vehicles.
