In the United States, buyers can choose between two main versions—the Single Motor Extended Range (rear-wheel drive) and the Twin Motor Performance (all-wheel drive). Both variations share a common 69-kilowatt-hour battery with 64 kWh usable capacity. The RWD version packs an estimated power output of 200 kilowatts, while its dual-motor counterpart reaches an impressive 314 kilowatts.

For European consumers, there’s an additional entry-level option—the Single Motor Standard Range version. This variant features a more economical 51-kilowatt-hour LFP battery (with 49 kWh usable capacity), enhancing its affordability without compromising on performance.

Turning attention to pricing, the Volvo EX30 Single Motor, in the entry-level Core trim, kicks off at an MSRP of $34,950, with a $1,295 destination charge bringing the total to $36,245—an intriguing proposition indeed. Stepping up to other trims, prices start at $38,900 (Plus) and $40,600 (Ultra).

It’s worth noting that due to its current manufacturing location in Zhangjiakou, China, and subsequent importation to the U.S., the EX30 does not qualify for the $7,500 federal tax credit. In a strategic move announced in October, Volvo Cars, responding to “strong demand,” revealed plans to expand production to Europe, with Ghent, Belgium, joining the manufacturing lineup.
